What is the Musixmatch Community and how long has it been around?The Musixmatch Community has been around for over 13 years and is made up of passionate music and lyrics lovers who contribute to the lyrics database through crowdsourcing.
What is the process behind lyric verification and crowdsourced lyrics at Musixmatch?The process starts with a passionate Musixmatch Community member who wants to add lyrics to a song. Once this scales, lots of content comes from all around the globe in all different genres of music. The community members can unlock different editorial powers by contributing and learning about the writing guidelines. The most passionate users can become curators and specialists are hand-picked among the curators.
What is the Slack community and is it open for everyone to join?Musixmatch has two Slack Work Spaces, one of which is called the Community Slack Work Space and is open for everyone who loves Musixmatch and is involved with it in any way to engage with the community and find support tasks.
What is the goal of the Musixmatch Community and what is the importance of the work done on the community side?The goal of the Musixmatch Community is to create a nice, cheerful, joyful environment and to create an experience that is fun for the community members. The work done on the community side is important in creating an infrastructure for the huge lyrics database that we all enjoy today.
