Even in 2022, women are still vastly underrepresented in the music industry - especially when it comes to music engineering and production. According to a new study from the USC Annenberg Inclusion Initiative, only around 21.6% of artists, 12.6% of songwriters, and 2.6% of producers are women.
At Musixmatch, we’re passionate about breaking down industry barriers to pave a new way for the next generations of women in music tech.
That’s why we teamed up with Music Innovation Hub (the innovative Milan-based initiative behind many socially responsible projects in the music industry) to organize a meet-up last month for Women in Music Tech and Production.
